Abandoned road leading to the most famous
murder site in
blues history: the Three Forks Store,
where Robert Johnson was poisoned in 1938.
The Three Forks Store, formerly at the end of this old road near
the intersection of Highways 82 and 49E near Greenwood, Mississippi,
was where Robert Johnson was poisoned in August, 1938.
David "Honeyboy" Edwards told me that the original store
was torn apart by a tornado in 1942.
